Winnie’s owner recently called us after she was worried he’d been exposed to a bouquet of stocks. We were able to reassure her that stocks are low toxicity and we are pleased to report Winnie is doing well. His owner sent us this lovely photo which helped us identify the type of flower involved. Animal PoisonLine and VPIS work closely with mycologists and botanists who can help with the identification of plants/mushrooms when required.
If you have cats we recommend keeping flowers out of their reach and never having lilies (Lilium species) in your house or garden because these can be fatal to cats. If possible look for cat safe bouquets.
