The clinical effects depend on the species of fungus ingested and can occur immediately or be delayed by many hours . Signs can include vomiting and diarrhoea, changes to the heart rate, excessive salivation, and neurological disturbances. Some fungi also cause liver damage.
Identification of a particular fungus is notoriously difficult. Attempting to match samples with photos/drawings/apps risks misidentification. We recommend that you call us for help and we will contact our expert mycologist who will assist with the process.
